Happy St. Patrick’s Day! - Did you know during St. Patrick’s Day, the world consumes over 13 million pints of Guinness! 🤯 #themoreyouknow
It has been an exciting week in AI. Openai released GPT-4, Microsoft launches AI, and Google shows they aren’t going anywhere - but this poses a problem for some AI startups 😬
The Brief:
💻 Startup makes ChatGPT mandatory for candidates
💰 Deadpool (Ryan Reynolds) makes a $1.35 billion deal with T-Mobile
⚕️ The integration of AI in healthcare

AI-n't That Something
Openai GPT-4 is the biggest upgrade to ChatGPT to date..
But what’s new with it?
Key Takeaways
The biggest difference between GPT-3 and GPT-4 is the number of parameters it has been trained with. GPT-3 has been trained with 175 billion parameters, making it the largest language model ever created up to date. In comparison, GPT-4 is likely to be trained with 100 trillion parameters.
GPT-4 is able to handle language translation, text summarization, and other tasks in a more versatile and adaptable manner.
GPT-4 is safer and more aligned. GPT-4 is 82% less likely to respond to requests for disallowed content and 40% more likely to produce factual responses than GPT-3.5 on our internal evaluations.
Chat GPT-4 can process up to 25,000 words at once, which is 8x more than Chat GPT-3 could handle.
Allows image inputs. You can submit visual prompts like a drawing, graph, or infographic. GPT-4 is also more intelligent and creative than its predecessor, GPT-3.5.
GPT-4 was able to pass the Bar exam! 🤯

GPT-4 has been used by organizations such as:
Duolingo - deepens the conversation on Duolingo.
Be My Eyes - transforms visual accessibility.
Stripe - streamlines the user experience and combat fraud.
Khan Academy - a virtual tutor for students and a classroom assistant for teachers.
Government of Iceland - preserving the Icelandic language.
Want access to GPT-4 but don’t want to pay $20/month? well, I got you. Just use Microsoft's new Bing chat. According to Corporate Vice President Yusuf Mehdi is has been running GPT-4 for the past 5 weeks! Here is how to Access GPT 4 for FREE.

🤖 Microsoft Introduces AI-Powered 'Copilot'
Microsoft has launched a new AI-powered tool called Microsoft 365 Copilot, which will be integrated into its suite of apps including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
This tool is designed to enhance productivity and creativity by providing users with a first draft to edit and iterate on, ultimately saving them time in writing, sourcing, and editing. With the help of Copilot, users can easily create PowerPoint presentations and Excel data visualizations by following a prompt, draft email responses, and even summarize long email threads in Outlook.
While currently being tested by 20 partners, the tool will be available more broadly in the coming months. This use of AI to summarize or synthesize within commonly used apps has the potential to significantly impact workflow and productivity.

Introducing Microsoft Business Chat and Microsoft's AI Future of Work Event: Everything Revealed in 8 Minutes
🥊 Google is still in the fight!
Google is introducing new AI-powered features to Google Workspace, including a generative AI in Docs and Gmail to help people with their writing, as well as allowing workers to summarise and catch up with long email threads or create briefs based on several Google Docs or emails.
Google is introducing the PaLM API, an easy and safe way to build on top of their best language models. Furthermore, businesses can build their own AI-powered chat interfaces and digital assistants using Generative AI App Builder.
So what does this mean for some AI Startups?
There are many writing assistants available, such as Rytr, Jasper, Jenni, Hoppy Copy, Bearly, WriteSonic, and Notion AI, it is uncertain whether these companies will be able to survive once Google's AI tools are widely adopted. Once Google's new AI comes out it will house all the same features under its own App. Ths would be interesting to see, I sure hope the startups find a way to combat this.
💻 Future-proof your Career
LayerX Inc., a Tokyo-based fintech startup, is making it mandatory for new recruits to use the technology and even test them on it.
“We recognize that ChatGPT is not perfect,” said Takaya Ishiguro, chief human resources officer at LayerX, in an interview. “However, it is also dangerous to be too afraid to utilize new technology.”
Ishiguro, the CEO of LayerX, believes that it is important to quickly adopt new technologies. He wants his employees to be able to identify and adapt to new technologies like ChatGPT, even if they don’t always catch on. He thinks that candidates are falling behind the trend if they haven’t tried it at this point.
Key takeaways:
LayerX Inc., a Tokyo-based startup, is making it mandatory for new recruits to use technology and even testing them on it as part of its digitizing business transactions.
The startup believes it is on the right side of a growing divide over the use of technology, and recruits are asked to identify the limitations of the technology during entry assessments.
LayerX, received 5.5 billion yen ($41 million) in a recent round of Series A funding backed by MUFG’s venture capital arm and Mitsui & Co.
The company does not expect an immediate impact on profits by using the technology, but plans to hire about 20 new recruits a year to increase productivity.
As part of the entry assessment, candidates are prompted to engage with ChatGPT, a language model trained by OpenAI.
I have always been an advocate of learning new skills and adapting. The world of tech is constantly evolving, and it’s essential to keep up with the latest trends and tools to stay competitive in the job market. However, I would be lying if I said I was not a little concerned about this AI shift, it CAN go down a wrong path, and we do need to tread lightly, BUT in the meantime, use it to your advantage, impress your boss, and make more money!! or even build your own Startup 🤔

💰Reynolds' Magic Touch Strikes Again

Deadpool
Ryan Reynolds isn't just a pretty face - he's also a business tycoon! He bought a big chunk of Mint Mobile, a prepaid phone company, and now T-Mobile wants to buy it for a whopping $1.35 billion. Clearly, Reynolds has the magic touch.
But that's not all! He's also a co-founder of Maximum Effort, a production studio that makes films and hilarious ads. Reynolds even bought a stake in Aviation Gin and made a viral parody ad that roasted Peloton's holiday ad. He's so good at this stuff that Diageo bought Aviation Gin for $610 million!
But wait…there’s more!
And if that wasn't enough, Reynolds took over a Welsh football team called Wrexham AFC, invested $2.5 million, and made a docuseries about it. The team's been doing great ever since, and Reynolds is looking to work his magic on the Ottawa Senators, a Canadian hockey team.
So, let's just say that Ryan Reynolds isn't just a superhero on the big screen - he's also a superhero in the business world. Watch out, Elon Musk - there's a new cool guy in town!
Key takeaways:
T-Mobile is buying Mint Mobile, a budget cell service provider, for $1.35 billion.
The deal includes two other brands, Ultra Mobile and Plum.
T-Mobile will continue Mint’s $15 per month pricing.
Mint Mobile uses T-Mobile’s wireless network.
Ryan Reynolds, the Deadpool star, is part owner of Mint Mobile and stars in ads for the budget cellular carrier.
Reynolds will continue on in his creative role for Mint, and Mint founders David Glickman and Rizwan Kassim will continue to operate the brands as a mostly separate business unit, T-Mobile said.
The deal is expected to close later this year, and will permit Mint to continue using T-Mobile’s network.

Make Money Moves
Starting a business from scratch is super hard and time-consuming. It can definitely be rewarding, buuuutt wouldn't it be nice to be cash flow positive on day 1? I’d say so.
Consider buying an existing business instead of starting your own at Tiny Acquisitions

Buying a business gives you instant access to an established brand, loyal customers, experienced staff and proven systems. It's cheaper and easier than starting from scratch, and you can negotiate a fair price based on the current performance and potential of the business. Plus, you can leverage the previous owner's reputation and network to get more opportunities and referrals. Don't start from scratch, buy a cake instead!
I have recently been on the hunt to acquire a startup and I stumbled upon Tiny Acquisitions. A marketplace for creators to buy and sell any type of digital assets for $100k or less. It's like acquire.com. It’s a cool simple platform, easy to navigate. Of course, you would still need to do your due diligence and looks for ways you can improve. Check it out if this is something you are interested in. www
p.s. I made an offer yesterday, I am hoping it goes through 🤞🏽

Happens to me ALL the time🤬 and when I do remember, it's either on my desktop, in google bookmark, or some random place. Well, I found the solution:

The estimated startup cost is reasonable and the difficulty level is relatively low. However, it's important to conduct market research and analysis to ensure there is enough demand for this type of platform and to identify potential challenges and competition. Additionally, implementing a strong verification and quality control system for listings would be crucial to maintain trust and ensure the authenticity of eco-friendly products.
